Come on. LSU just gave you a TD at the end, playing Tiger D scrubs vs. Buckeye O starters. You have one time out and less than 1:30 on the clock. The game is over. What do you do? Kick onside and tell your kids to headhunt the Tiger who catches the ball. Then call time out when LSU is in victory formation to delay the Louisiana celebration. I will root against Ohio until Tressel is no longer the coach. He is a worm. A worm that was thoroughly outcoached tonight. :milesmic:
You gotta remember that there's been talk about a split 'ship with USC...We still had to go strong...I'm actually surprised that MIles took out the defensive starters.
Fine, but if LSU is going to pour it on, you can hardly complain about OSU returning the favor. Right, since most onsides kicks involve academic debates to convince the opposing team to give you the football :insane:
I totally disagree with you! Yes, we gave them a td but I think the OSU people might've thought we rubbed it in when we scored our last td with 2 minutes in the game. I don't think Tressel tried to do anything that wasn't classy and that is why I disagree with your post! You say he called timeout to delay the victory celebration but he also prolonged his teams agony and prolonged a few minutes of LSU playing in a NC game when the outcome was certain! It all depends on ones perspective of the situation!:nope:
I'm not...I wanted Miles to keep his defense andplay hard till we got the ball back and were able kneel down.
I didn't see it that way. He could have argued that LSU shouldn't have given him that TD then. Besides, if you listened to Tressel in the post-game, he was all class. The man is a competitor, I would have expected the same thing from us. Contrarily, I saw one OSU fan complain we were running up the score when we went up 38-17. Wrong. There was too much time on the clock and we were on the 5. Too early to take knees. It was a great game for us. No complaints on either side. None. :crystal:
