And blowing everyone's doors off again. Poor Walter Dix will probably never win this event in college again. Holiday has now beaten his own best time that he set at the SEC Championship recently, and now has the fastest time by an American this year and 3rd fastest overall @ 10.02 in the 100 meters. :geauxtige http://www.lsubeat.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070607/SPORTS0202/70607035
when he busted that kickoff against arky to counter run dmc's run, I remember saying that was the fastest ive ever seen anyone on a football field when he exploded through the hole. sounded far-fetched at the time but I think i may have been right. that dude can run a bit.
What I think is so awesome about this is the amount of time that SEC coaches will have to spend on special teams in preparation for facing him. If they kick away from him, who do they kick to? Doucet, LaFell, Mitchell? Add on the extra five yards that kickers have to face and I anticipate some nightmares for opposing coaches. Makes me warm all over.
well the surprising thing for me is most track guy's speed dont carry over to the football field. both almost never equate. and with trindon being so small one would think it would be an even tougher transition. doesnt look like the case thankfully.
Cox Sports will be airing the Nationals this weekend. I believe it will be live for anyone interested in watching Holliday in the 100 and relays.
He is a football player with track speed, not a track speedster playing football. I'd put him in the slot and let Linebackers chase him or force a 42 or 33 and jam the ball down the other teams throats on the ground.
tied for 5th fastest in world this year, in the screwy ways ties are reported. many would call it tied for 3rd. gonna be interesting to see how fast he gets before he stops improving. track people say he's got room to improve because he runs relaxed
