I see they lost to Arky State this weekend. They looked formidable against Missouri early in the season but a loss to the Indians puts them into the cupcake category in my mind. Are there any Troy fans here who can explain that loss?

Let's not forget that Ole Miss needed a 4th quarter rally to beat ASU. I would put all three of those teams on about the same level. :eek:lefire:

Maybe they were focused on LSU instead of ASU, it's possible. They have to be better than they showed Saturday.

Didn't Tennessee barely beat Ole' Miss?

... that goes back to show you that almost any team can beat another team in college football, depending on who shows up to play on saturday...

I don't think there are any Troy fans anywhere that can explain that. When TSU was division 2, they were a powerhouse each year. They are trying to move up to division 1 level. That is pretty hard all by itself. They have a good band, a good program, good commitment from the alums, and have just built a super nice stadium. Supposed to be one of the best new stadiums. I don't think you will find a whole lot of smack talk for the weekend though. The only SMACK you will hear is the SMACK of the Tigers mouths as they lick their lips and await Troy. Yes.....they are the TROJANS.....the good kind----not the kind you use and throw away.   (from CALIFORNICATE)

As a Troy fan, I can not explain this past week-end. I hope at our level we do not look ahead to future games, and were not looking ahead to LSU. I watched the game, and really knew nothing about Arkansas State, so I did not know if they were good or not. I only know that we looked like we missed some easy passes, and we didn't look like we played the entire game. What happened to the 2nd half? We just don't seem to play that well on the road. We love our new stadium and want to play in it with our fans. I hated it, I really wanted Troy to get to go to a bowl game this year...but with 2 conference losses..it doesn't look possible.

22 point line in the game

ASU had a good QB to give 'em trouble ... passed 'em silly

Randall and both of the kids should get some work ...

IMO, LSU by about 35 ... with Jimbo working both kids the entire 2nd half

I think we beat them by much more than 35...I look for the score to be something like 51-6.
