Agent has permission to talk to LSU ESPN.com news services Tommy Tuberville has never publicly retaliated for the attempt to push him out at Auburn in 2003. His revenge could come in the form of another job. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in Sunday's editions that Tuberville's agent has permission to talk to LSU. Agent Jimmy Sexton also represents Nick Saban, who is leaving the LSU to coach the Miami Dolphins. Last year, LSU officials secretly talked to Louisville's Bobby Petrino, but ultimately retained Tuberville. This season, Auburn finished undefeated and earned a BCS berth, earning Tuberville Associated Press coach of the year honors. He has been offered an extension that he has not signed.
I'm not taking any of these stories seriously at this time, since none of them---zero---acknowledge the $3 mil buyout involved in hiring Tubs away from The Plains. Might as well write a story about how I'm "interested" in Ashley Judd and not mention the fact that, you know, she's not indicated an interest in me and is married, to boot. ** ** Not that I couldn't GET Ashley if I *really* wanted to, you know. So what if she's married to some stud race car driver and has "UK" tatooed to her butt.
NO to Tuberville We need to e-mail the atlhletic department letting them know he is unacceptable. Honestly even if he won a national championship he is not the kind of guy we need at LSU. Though he has mellowed a little, there are too many classless incidents.
I just have to read this stuff and laugh. I don't really want him here as coach but can't blame him for these antics or maybe wanting to leave AU and this could be a way out for him, after what they did to him last year, that was wrong. If he does come here I will accept him, after all the clock is against us right now, we need a good coach to come in and sure up this years recruiting class.  PS: he's done pretty well against Saban the last few years but I will never forget 2001, the onside kick game, totally outcoached!
This rumor has no legs.....trust me, sincerely. The secret source = Jimmy Sexton. Tuberville's deal with AU has yet to be signed, but the final draft has been reviewed and has been given a conditional approval by Tuberville - which is as good as being "done." The only outstanding issues are the 2-year term agreements for some on his staff .......
