http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21536408/ I think this guy is insane, I am not posting this to start another debate on Miles leaving (Tired) but I found his comment interesting that Tubs would even consider leaving Auburn for LSU. Now of course I am bias but honestly what does he gain leaving Auburn for LSU. The idea Saban will rule Alabama I think is a bit premature, Auburn is almost ALWAYS good and in the hunt, went undefeated and got ROBBED in the BCS probably would have on the National Title. I guess what basis does this guy have for even making such a odd statement. If this has already been posted, please let me know and I will promptly delete.
He was supposedly interested in the LSU job when Miles was hired. But the guy has a $7 million buyout from Auburn now and he has....history with LSU fans. But why he would want to come to LSU and leave Auburn is obvious IMO. It's easier to recruit Louisiana for LSU than it is to recruit anywhere to Auburn. Have you been to Auburn? If so then you see why. Picture Auburn in Starkville.......bout the same thing IMO. 45 minutes from Montgomery doesn't change those circumstances.
I don't buy it. He would have the advantage of not having to compete another in state school that has a lot of history, big name coach, etc that will definitely take players from him. But I think it is uncool for a HC to change schools within the same conference. I wouldn't want to see that and I definitely wouldn't want Tubs at LSU. I just don't care for him. Plus he reminds me of Mr. Rogers. I wouldn't mind seeing him go to A&M though....He always has something for LSU.
i dont think miles' closet in his office has room for tubs' pine box. but then again i havent been there in a while...
Oh, dear, I hope not. I don't think my stomach could handle the cigar smoke on top of the corndog smell. :nope:
well as long as we're throwing things out all willy-nilly like... the folks round these parts connected to aTm boosters are saying that Tubs is already talking to the aggies - that he rallied for the position right up until Francione was announced last time and that now they're talking again...
Actually, if the Miles to UM thing did happen it makes perfect sense. He is a Hell of a coach, and he would love to get back at Auburn for flirting with other coaches. He would take LSU over ATM easily. As much as I hate to admit it, I think he is right behind Spurrier and would kick ass here. ALL THAT BEING SAID I HOPE MILES STAYS. BUT THIS SCENARIO IS POSSIBLE. Could we get him to put those dumbo size ears under his freakin hat though?
