As much as I hate Flubby you cant deny that he has stacked that team pretty deep with talent. Maybe not as many 5 star type recruits that we have but he is reloading that team every year.
!. Lou Holtz is an idiot, made promises to a recruit about playing time, now that recruit and Kenny are no longer at USC. Plus, as CTT said this past week, Kenny started to grow up and be responsible. (And Kenny's brother is at AU.) 2. We have had highly recruited backs, but also development is the key. http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051118/SPORTS02/511180372/1019 Tailbacks coach Eddie Gran was talking the other day about how he teaches Auburn backs to run. Going out of bounds to avoid a tackle is a no-no. "If you run out of bounds, you'll be on the sideline with me," Gran said. Eddie should lose the job as special team coach. He is better with the backs. I cannot mention Eddie without posting the below: The Sydney Gran Foundation was founded by Rosemary and Eddie in April of 2005 in honor of their daughter Sydney. Sydney was born with a rare disease known as HPE but defied the odds to live 6 wonderful years. Sydney passed on to be with the Lord on May 31, 2005. Sydney touched many lives not only in the Gran's hometown of Auburn , but at Children's Hospital in Birmingham where she was a patient. The Gran's want to help others who are less fortunate at Children's Hospital and would appreciate your donation.
We seem to always get more all purpose type of backs. (Faulk, Davis, Carey, Addai) Alley will be more of a specialist like Irons and hopefully will be very productive the next 2 yrs. The thing I dont see improving and I wish it would is to get a slew of 4 and 5 star O Lineman. When Nick said he built the team in every area he said he was still not happy with the O-line. LSU has always had a problem with that. Not in getting good or very good lineman but dominant ones. Thank God for West Monroe.
