Yep, I think I saw one made jump shot. He definitely is better going to the basket than taking that step back jumper.
Ya, he is just like Amare Stoudemire when he entered the league. Amare wasn't much of a scorer but could really drive to the basket. After some time on the team AS started getting a jumpshot. Tyrus also has to get a jumpshot and needs to bulk up a little bit.
That is indeed a ridiculously high standard, but there are similarities in their style. And if TT can develop his game and his body, there's no reason to think he can't be up there with Amare.
The coaches probably really liked his ability to draw fouls though. He must have shot 30 free throws in that game.
