1. Wow...that was a brutal cheap shot. Did the Marshall player eventually get back up?
  2. Yes, he did. But every one of those players, coaches, and sideline assistants who congratulated the cheap shot bastard should be suspended.
    northernvatiger and Hou-duco like this.
  3. Totally uncalled for.
  4. Definitely not a good look for ULL. You're playing on national television and deliver a cheap shot like that doesn't give a good reflection of the program. I didn't see the players and coaches cheering, but they should be ashamed of themselves if they did celebrate that hit. I'm sure it will be replayed a hundred times, so ULL will be receiving some negative press for the next couple of weeks! I'm just glad the player wasn't injured because he could have easily suffered a major, long lasting injury!
  5. If that were my player he'd be removed from the team.
  6. That was as dirty a hit as I've seen in a very long time.
  7. I've been watching football for a long, long time. That's near the top of blatant, flagrant cheap shots I can recall seeing. I agree with @Swerved. If I was the HC, I would kick his ass off the team. I would also closely review the shots of the sideline. Anyone caught on film cheering him would become very familiar with the stadium steps, top to bottom for a period of time.
  8. Yes, a dirty hit, but I can forgive a player getting overly aggressive. The dude probably didn’t even recognize that a fair catch had been signaled. What was unforgivable was the smiles and high fives from the assistant coaches and his teammates.
    furduknfish and kcal like this.
  9. Initially I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt regarding the fair catch signal. But after watching numerous replays it's crystal clear to me the signal was made well before catching the ball. His reaction after the play just validates it in my mind.
