If any history teacher is teaching that then he needs to be fired.

I explain to my students that history education progressive in a way similar to movie ratings. When you are in elementary school you get the nice G rated, happy ending, history (Thanksgiving, Columbus, Lincoln freed the slaves, etc.). Middle school is PG. You start to see some of the ugliness, but its only suggested at, not overtly shoved in your face. You are also given some limited opportunities to draw your own opinions. High school is still only PG-13. This is often up to the teacher. Many teachers fear going beyond the textbook because of ignorant parents and administrators, who themselves probably never went beyond PG-13. College runs the gamut from G to XXX, depending on the professor and the school. Also, what you are taught usually depends on the professor's political leanings (typically liberal, but not always).

Your question implies a lot that I don't think are givens. I am not a brain scientist and ballistics expert and do not know how nerves and bullets and physics and shooters work well enough to assume anything. I don't think you do either.

I know if I throw a left hook into your right eye your head will snap "back and to the left", doesn't take Sir Newton to figure that out....someone needs to explain to me how that happened and Oswald pulled it off.

You do know LSU is in a serious fight right now and you've drawn me into this nonsense thread.

Please lsu isn't in any trouble.

Again, you are assuming bullets and brains do lots of things to bodies in moving cars that you don't really know about.

Common sense tells me everything I need to know.

If any history teacher isn't teaching he needs to be fired. People need the circumstances and context that goes with historical facts, otherwise they come to incorrect conclusions. History textbooks are terrible for that.

And you have offered not a single bit of evidence, so it has entirely forgettable. In fact a moderate position is random between extreme positions, it does not have to be a centrist position. The balance point does not have to be in dead center. A third grader understands this.

Truth may be random as to extreme views, but this is stating the obvious. It is random to any extremes other than extreme honesty or dishonesty.
