Walter Dix and his Florida State teammates are heavy favorites at the NCAA Division I track championships today through Saturday in Sacramento. Dix, a 5-10, 195-pound junior, won the NCAA 100 as a freshman and was second last year to LSU's Xavier Carter, who also won the 400 and then turned pro. Dix won the 200 last year.
