    one thing that stood out to me is how much texas is getting killed in the computers

    USC is firmly planted as #1 in the computer polls by years end, with their 3 games against potential top 10-15 opponents. Cal may even be top 10 by then. But they won't win all 3, that's the problem. So ultimately it may come down to WVU and the winner of OSU/Michigan. It's sad that the national title game will actually be the OSU/Michigan winner, played about 6 weeks prematurely.

    Aubie, my guess is their SOS is killing them. The lost to Ohio St and beat the only ranked team they played but Oklahoma was ranked 14th. The rest of their wins: North Texas, Rice, Iowa State, Sam Houston State, and Baylor. Not necessarily all "Cup cakes" but not power house programs either.
