Just wondering if anyone saw what Matt leinart was wearing at half time of Miami/FSU game? He was wearing a shirt in USC colors that read "F(USC)CK the BCS". it was totally classless. GEt over it, you didnt play for the trophy, so what. it was the system everyone agreed on and new about at the beginning of last season. Also, personally i think that any team or conference that doenst play a conference championshiop game should be one step behind the conferences and team that do play one. But back to the shirt, it pisses me off that USC and leinart can get away with wearing that and whining still about last year but all USC fans can do is come bash us about how our team did not look like defending national champions in our first game. we arent the same team as last year jsut like their not.
I saw that and could not believe that ABC put that on the TV. We were watching the game with some friends and when they showed it, my buddies wife called our local channel to complain. (She was pretty pissed because her kids wanted to know what the shirt said after my buddy and I were talking about it). I think she wrote a letter to the FCC today. After she called the local channel, called my buddy and I looked at each other thinking that may be going a bit far; before we told his wife anything she said she is sick of hearing USC whining and sick of the media hyping them up as being victims. The shirt that Whineart was wearing gave her the opportunity to complain to a higer power (FCC). She figures after the Super Bowl crap, the FCC is under pressure to "clean up" TV, so she took a shot. :lol: Anyway, the USC fans are quickly become my most hated fans out there. Currently Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Tulane fans are hated more by me. I wish I would have TIVOed the game so I could send a picture of the shirt. Very classless.
I saw the shirt and I thought it said Rock the BCS. I didn't pay too much attention though. I could be wrong.
It's the same shirt SC fans were wearing at the end of last season, I believe the first game they wore it was the ORE ST game, and out here it caused a stir in the local news. Newspaper editorials were asking if it was right for kids to go to games with "F*CK the BCS" on their tshirts. It was classless, and worse ABC knew exactly what they were doing by letting him wear that shirt. I wouldn't doubt if ABC gave him that shirt to wear, considering that tshirt was popular last season (this year everyone is wearing "King of LA" tshirts, which doubles as Leinart for Heisman slogan). I hope they fall apart against ColoSt. It's unlikely, but we are seeing some strange stuff this weekend. Fresno St is beating KSU, by 20 pts at half . . . destroying them.
I bet his attitude towards the BCS changes REAL fast if USC manges to make it to the Orange Bowl this year. I'm sure he won't be able to embrace the system quickly enough then.
