I know we won and we should focus on us, but I still hate USC so much, so I'd like to expose the fact that the refs missing two crucial calls in the game led to the extension of USC's winning streak.

    1. The spot of the ball:

USC QB loses it at the goal line. It looks to bounce backward and out of bounds around the 2 or 3. The ball is initially spotted at the goal line, and then at the half yard line. If it went out at the 2 or 3, that is where it should have been spotted.

    (Rules 8-5-1 and 8-6-1)(A.R. 7-2-4-I, A.R. 8-6-1-I and A.R. 8-7-2-VIII-IX).
If a fumble is out of bounds, fumbles out of bounds behind the spot of the fumble belong to the fumbling
    team at the out-of-bounds spot

    2. Pushing teammate forward:

Reggie Bush pushed the USC QB forward once he was stopped at the line. It is illegal to push your own player forward. This is seldom called, but it was an obvious foul that chanced the outcome of the game. I can't find the exact location in the rule book, so if you can, please post it.
