I was just looking at USC and what they lose after this year. Actually they are a young team. Their entire O Line will return. Their losses on O are skill position. Bush will most likely go pro. Leinert is gone. Those will be huge losses for this team. If not for Bush and Leinert this year they lose 3-4 games. Their mediocre defense will lose 5 seniors. I think in 2006 they will be good but their domination is over after this year. Oh and they have a Booty at QB next year. Really untested in College and will make 1st year mistakes. No Chow their to groom him anymore either. They didnt miss Chow as much this year because he had already trained Leinert. So far it doesnt look like a stellar recruiting class for them either . We will see how great Carroll is next year.
I am not convinced Booty even starts...I think the kid Sanchez has just as much a shot at the starting QB job Isn't the running back Lindale White a senior as well? If so, then that's just too much to lose at the skill position....they will struggle big time offensively next year, even with a talented and experienced o-line. Their defense will probably be about the same as this year...which won't be good enough to keep them in the top 10.
yeah but oregon and cal will probably rule the pac 10 next year....i am pretty sure oregon could give usc a better game now than they did back in september.
USC 2006 Schedule Sept. 9 at Arkansas Sept. 16 Nebraska Sept. 23 at Arizona Sept. 30 at Washington State Oct. 7 Washington Oct. 14 Arizona State Oct. 28 at Oregon State Nov. 4 at Stanford Nov. 11 Oregon Nov. 18 California Nov. 25 Notre Dame Dec. 2 at UCLA I was all fired up to attack their schedule then I remembered to check ours.
Watch out in 2007 though....good chance that Jimmy Clausen will land there. From what I understand he can walk on water and turn water into wine... http://www.latimes.com/sports/highs...,7097805.story?coll=la-util-sports-highschool
