Not sure what is going on, but now Randall Carroll, 5* receiver, is going to decommit and will absolutely NOT be signing with USC. A huge falling out. That's the 3rd player to decommit and the other 2 have signed elsewhere I think (one was UCLA).
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? Something behind the scenes perhaps.. recruiting violations or maybe the jock-rash did them in. :hihi:
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? I guess they cut a few thousand out of their contract offers. Ouch
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? Not sure if I'd go as far as "falling apart", but there is speculation that Carroll 'might' decommit. I've heard the same thing about Kenny Bell and Janzen Jackson. Here's the link, if you want to come to your own conclusion... http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=894879
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? One of the sticking points is that he hears different things from different USC coaches and his position has not been settled. Randall doesn't care if he plays wide receiver or cornerback in college, but he reportedly is tiring of USC's mixed messages on that point and others.
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? It's been reported that there is a 1 in 100 chance that he ends up at USC. So the decommit is a mere formality.
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? That being "speculation", I don't know if I'd say that a class of 20 - 30 four and five star recruits is falling apart because 1 four star recruit that's keeps resending his "verbal" commitment. As I said, we have a couple of "verbal commits" that are taking visits as well. We've had a couple of decommitments as well (Farrell, Loston, etc.). Does that mean that LSU's class is "falling apart"? I just think that it's smart to be careful what you wish upon others because you may be wishing it upon yourself.
Re: USC recruiting class falling apart? Uh, Loston was never committed to LSU. ESPN reported it in error. Please get your info correct. The whole point being is this has not happened to USC in quite a while under Carroll. Not to this extent at least.
