Gary Cherone. Lead vocalist on Van Halen's last album (released seemingly eons ago.) Only appearance with Van Halen. Album bombs! Cherone is out! Technically Gary is Van Halen's lead singer, but no one will truly recognize him as such. USC can technically say they are champs because they finished #1 in a highly subjective oft flawed poll, but no one can say they are the true champion. Just another thought. P.S. I wanted to say that USC was the Sammy Hagar of college football, but I'm still in too good a mood to start an argument with other Tiger fans.
Gary Cherone? I never heard of him. Ever heard of Pete Best? Pete Best was one of the Beatles early drummers before Ringo Starr joined the band and they hit it big. After the Beatles made it big time Pete Best released an album called Best of the Beatles.
You know it's the offseason when you get a late-90s Van Halen reference on an LSU message board. In other news, the David Lee Roth band is headlining at some dive bar in western Kansas.
Some useless musical trivia info because you never know! Depending on how old you are you may remember the band Extreme from the late 80's early 90's. That's where Cherone got his real start, More than Words, etc. Anyone remember the video with Nuno, the guitarist, and Gary sitting on stools singing that chick anthem of 1988?
