John Nadel, AP Sports Writer, must have attended the Aubarn School of Championship Wizardry. Since when does an AP writer know anything about BCS championships? He needs to be called out on this one. It's our duty as LSU faithful to keep the records straight. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=ap-t25-uscdynasty&prov=ap&type=lgns "USC (10-1, 7-1 Pac-10) has won four straight since then, outscoring the opposition 144-43. That combined with a series of upsets to other contending teams put the second-ranked Trojans in position to play in their third straight Bowl Championship Series title game should they beat crosstown rival UCLA (6-5, 4-4) on Saturday. Sorry. :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:
Well, they will be playing in their 3rd straight BCS title game ... '04 - Champs '05 - lost to Texas '06 - will lose to OSU
But it woud be their third straight. 2004 was against Oklahoma and last year against Texas. THis year would be the third.
I think the question lies with, "Was the '04 game really a 'Title game'". The Sugar Bowl was the "Title" game. :thumb:
04 Season...the game was actually played in 05. For clarity...04season = 05 title game. 05 season = 06 title game, 06 season = soon-to-be-played 07 title game.
To be clear, LSU played Oklahoma in the 2004 BCS National Championship Game which was The Sugar Bowl. As a result, LSU is the undisputed 2003 National Champion. I could care less what other years USC claims to be champion or played in the game !
Just like lsutiga said, we have the hardware to prove who the Champion was. You have to play in the Title Game to win the NC. My ticket had OU vs. LSU. The BCS was created to eliminate the "Co-Champions"!!!!! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
