New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma has on Vilma filed suit in Eastern District (federal) court in Louisiana today. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a defendant.
Vilma claims he was defamed by Goodell's public comments regarding him (Vilma) and the Saints alleged bounty system.

I guess Vilma heard about the Abita Springs Cafe bounty system I announced a while back.

It's about time someone had gotten the ball rolling on this. I wonder who, if anyone, follows suit.

Maybe now we'll actually get to see what Goodell "has" on the Saints.

I hope they all do. The only proof anyone has come out with has been heresy.

I'll give him a free piggyback ride down Bourbon Street until I fall down from the weight and sheer awesomeness of holding up a Super Bowl Champion Saint. :D

I absolutely love this move by Vilma and his attorney.

If the judge does allow players and their attorneys to have access to the "evidence", I would not be surprised to see it done so with a "gag order" also issued in order to keep the evidence from the public.

But what I really hope to see is a victorious Vilma and that judgment become the undoing of one Mr. Roger Goodell.

I could definitely see the gag order, which is sad because the public deserves to know what's going on since it's the public that spends it's money on the NFL.

I think the public along with the players themselves really do deserve transparency on this.
