Anyone remember back to when Maurice Clarett somewhat had his s**t together and was actually playing football? The hype for this kid was ridiculous, probably only second to Lebron James as far as such a young kid receiving so many accolades. I just read an article that had him rushing for 1253 yards his lone season as a starting tailback. So JV plays half as many games as Clarett and rushes for about 250 fewer yards?? I am not taking anything away from Clarett, just putting into perspective how damn good Justin Vincent's season was.
The other day I was watching some replays of Vincent in the Georgia game and the Sugar Bowl. Then it hit me, this is Barry Sanders made over. Stops and cuts on a dime, DB's grabbing air. We got something special to look forward to next year, and he's already posed for the Heisman on the cover of SI.
I agree Justin is special but I'm not going to start comparing him to Barry Sanders. Sanders was probably the most incredible running back EVER.
How dare you mention Vincent's name with Barry's Sanders. Sander's if not the greatest of all time, was within the top 3.
Barry Sanders retired when he was like 32........Emmit Had to get like 6 more years to break the record....Sanders would of broke the rushing record if he just played one more season...
I wouldn't dare compare JV to Sanders who I think was the best running back I ever saw. But damn, I saw JV make a couple of "moves" this year that sure reminded me of Barry.
