Just got back from a golfing vacation in Tennessee. Just my wife and I and she doesn't play so I got put with groups of 2 to 3 other golfers wherever I played. Needless to say I got to play with a number of Vol fans. When they found out I was an LSU fan, wasn't hard to do since I have a large LSU headcover on my driver, everyone of them said "You all will beat us, we don't have a quarterback." It appeared to me that the Vol fan base has already written off this season. No wonder we can expect very few of their fans to show up Monday night. :hihi:

Well, that's what their teams is showing (2 games and only 24 points), and how their QB situation needs to be addressed.

But they're just choosing to hide behind "the storm" issue.

EARTH TO VOL FANS! The game WILL be played on Monday...the weather WILL be fine....COme on down and take your butt whipp'n like a man!

I believe Kentucky scored those points against Florida's backups, though.

It wasn't Kentucky's first string for a lot of that too...

It will be a game. Last year, without great play at QB, we went 9-3, just a couple of plays from 11-1, literally 2 plays away.

Tenn. has a good defense and good running game. They lost last week. If they start 0-2 in the SEC, the season is over pretty much for them, except as spoilers. This game is more important on paper to Tenn. than LSU. I expect them to be sky high and come out fighting. I think this is an emotionally charged dogfight between two strong teams.

If JR plays the kind of game he played against ASU, I think LSU wins. If not, and sophs are prone to some inconsistency, we are in a big dogfight, and its anybody's game. Then it is down to someone taking things in his own hands and winning the game, either Riggs for Tenn., or Addai, or Carey, or Vincent. How about Skylar Green going nuts on returns, like 200 return yards, and 1 TD? Or Craig (Money) Davis converting on 3rd downs? Or an int return for a TD? OK, I'm dreaming, but it was fun!

The offense will be fine. I just hope the defense shows up.

I think that if UT can stop our offense they deserve to win. However, I just hope we don't shoot ourselves in the foot on offense (dropped passes, wrong routes, fumbles, etc.) I think our defense will be stingy (sp?) against the run and UT will be forced to pass. If Ainge throws like he usually does, that will hurt Tennessee. But, with LSU's luck he'll look like Leinhart incarnate. I think we'll get some crucial turnovers. Special teams will definately be a plus in this game. Even if we come out looking lackluster on O, we still win by 10+ thanks to defense and special teams. We have too many options on offense to lose this game. I really have doubts that Tenn can score more than 14-17 points a game--and even that would be a stretch.
    LSU 34-14
