With the current projected path of the hurricane, state of Georgia will certainly be wet, but for how long? Hope they protect the field well.

Yep, and I'll wager the state of Alabama will be wet too.

Football considerations aside, I really don't like the way this big SOB keeps drifting to the west...

You guys know the drill by now.....

...if Ivan stays to the east of the plains, then it should be a little drier since the North easter quadrant of the storm always get the majority of the rain. If it follows the projections and stays going towards FL, God help them, we should be pretty ok.

The current projections mostly call for heavy rains in the South-Central Alabama area for Thursday and Friday, with potential rains into Saturday.

Jordan-Hare is one of the fields that lives up to it's claim of having a good drainage system, and since the field will likely be covered, the field should be in excellent condition at kickoff. However, it will still be moist with a chance for showers, so a wet football is a real possibility. Personally, if I were Tuberville, I'd uncover the fields and turn the sprinklers on  , hoping for an equalizer.

Either way, I hope y'all have safe shelter during Ivan, and a safe trip to the Plains.
