    I have LSU's D-line rated #1 thru the 2011 season.

    We all know that teams that dominate the lines of scrimmage are going to win many more times than not. I just wish we could have a similiar pattern on the O-line. We do decently well, but not near what we get on the defensive side.

    Total reflection of the talent in this state. For whatever reason LA produces much more elite DL talent than OL talent. Must be the mudbugs.

    That and the fact that D-linemen are easier to replace. When you look at the teams with the best O-line men, they are usually made up of all upperclassmen with a freshman or sophomore thrown in here and there. It sometimes takes years of experience for an O-line to gel together so even with the right coaching its tough to consistently have a overpowering offensive line year in year out. You get good with experience but on the D-line you can be great if you have great physical ability and instincts which many young players have
