I've thought for a while it might be cool to find out where everyone is from originally. Obviously most here are Louisiana natives, so I've been curious to see who grew up in what city/town/neighborhood. Who knows? There might be someone on here that you knew growing up. I'll start: Born in OLOL hospital, 1968. Lived in North BR (Redemptorist area) until 5, then moved out to Morganza (that's Pointe Coupee parish for those who don't know). Spent my elementary school years there, then moved to East Feliciana Jr. High years, and then Baker when I started High School. Left Louisiana middle of my junior year (Jan. 1985) for Long Island, NY. After that, Texas (Houston area) in 1986, US Navy 87-93, Texas again and then southern Oklahoma. Returned to La. in 1995 (Zachary, then Jackson). Came to Burleson, TX in 1998, been here since.
I was born and raised on the Ms Gulf Coast, with short stints in Panama City, FL (as a kid) and Austin, Tx (as an adult).
Born in Centreville, MS in '56. My parents both born near Kentwood, my bro & sis born @ OLOL. Lived in Jackson, LA (my grandmother lived right next to the bank) until I was 6 months old, then moved to Sycamore St. right by Redemptorist ('74 grad). Moved to Merrydale when I was 2 to the corner of Glen Oaks & Silverleaf, parents bought a new house. 1st & 2nd grades @ St. Gerard, then grades 3-6 at St. Pius. Talked my parents into sending me to RHS for 7th grade because GOHS was turning chaotic, and got a better education, proving myself intelligent even at 12.. Dad said "You gotta put yourself through college, then." I did. Turned down an academic schollie to La Tech (too far away, dry parish) to go to :lsup: 6 semesters later, decided that I didn't want to be a chemical engr. Moved to Cali in '79, been here since, 25+ years with the same company as a outside salesman selling industrial plastics. Miss the family, friends, food and people in South La., and of course all things LSU and the fishing. Do NOT miss the lack of terrain or humidity AND the bugs (EXCEPT mudbugs)

Born in Lafayette, LA in August of '86 Lived in Berwick, LA until '89 (On Tournament Blvd.) Lived in Baton Rouge until '95 (Dentation) Lived in Findlay, OH until '05 (45 minutes south of Toledo) Living in Baton Rouge (30 seconds from Tiger Stadium)
Born at OLOL in August of '82. Lived in same home most of my life Kenilworth/Highland area in Baton Rouge. Less than 5 minutes from Tiger Stadium. Went to St. Jude Elementary off Highland Went to Catholic High LSU undergrad LSU MBA Hoping to work in Baton Rouge to stay close to the whole family when I graduate next year. Wife is from Slidell and we meet at the concession stand during the LSU vs. ULM game(I think), the week after was our 1st date at no other than the LSU vs. UGA the Skylar catch game in '03.
I guess you could consider me boring as far as living in a lot of places. Born in OKC. Lived here since day 1.
