news flash! the same thing happens with govt employees that happens with private sector employees.

Well the article said they found the picks on the employees laptop so odds are they were downloaded at home where there is no firewall.

As for wasting tax money, even if this was don't on the job, how is it any different then being on this site all damn day? I'm sure there are a few government paid folks that do a lot of posting on here between 8-5.

I have been trying to say just the reverse of what you have said here and NO ONE cares.
I am talking about the bad rap the private sector, CEO's have gotten while Labor Union leaders, Politicians and other government employees do the same thing and gets away with it.

You think? I think the problem is with the lack of repercussions, as opposed to what would happen in the private sector. And what's with looking at porn at work anyway? Everyone knows you are supposed to do that at the library.

not true. when i worked for the state, one of my co-workers got caught. he was tossed out on his ass before getting caught could even scare the boner out of him.

Ahh, you are talking state govt., and even those all vary. The SEC is a whole different ball game, as evidenced by the glaring lack of repercussions.
