Not a problem for me. I just hope LSU doesn't read the hype to just show up. Notre Dame has 3 weeks worth of media put-downs on the bulletin board now. We better be ready for their best shot.
I agree. A strong showing tonight will keep the media from saying that it's the REST of the SEC that needs to fear Saban instead of Saban coming back to a conference that has stronger coaches now than before he originally left. Think about it: 2004: Saban - LSU Shula - 'Bama Tubby - Auburn Nutt - Arkansas Croom - MSU Cutcliff - Ole Miss Fulmer - Tenn Richts - UGA Zook - Florida Holtz - South Carolina Brooks - Kentucky Johnson - Vandy 2007: Miles - LSU Saban - 'Bama Tubby - Auburn Nutt - Arkansas Croom - MSU Orgeron - Ole Miss Fulmer - Tenn Richts - UGA Meyer - Florida Spurrier - South Carolina Brooks - Kentucky Johnson - Vandy I put in bold the coaches in new positions since Saban left and each new coach at the other schools substantially better than the one in which he replaced (Miles can't be said to be "better" just yet, but he has shown the past 2 seasons that he's certainly keeping things going). Then I underlined 2 coaches that have significantly bettered their programs since Saban last coached in the SEC. The SEC shouldn't fear Saban. Saban is going to get a huge reality check as each season progresses and it's 'Bama's own fault when Saban leaves them before year 4 of his contract for somplace else.
