to Baton Rouge for the big game on the 8th. Air and hotel are booked!! My only problem is that we don't have tickets. I have never had this much of a problem getting game tickets and have wanted to come to THIS one since it appeared on the schedule years back. Before I made all the arrangements my husband cautioned me that tickets would be hard to come by... but I didn't think it would be this difficult. Anyway, my question is... what is the likelihood of obtaining tickets on game day... and (I hate to ask this part), any ideas of how much we will have to pay for them? I've heard that ya'll have one of the best atmospheres for college football... and I have to experience it!!! Any helpful ticket suggestions appreciated. Thanks. Lynchburg Hokie
I have never been to a game where you couldn't find someone selling tickets on the side of the road or anything like that. Or...ebay is always an option. http://search.product.ebay.com/LSU-...s_W0QQfromZR31QQfvcsZ1QQsoprZ57430903QQupvrZ2
I have never had a problem either. Sometimes you have to wait until it closer to gametime, but there are always plenty. Should be able to find some tickets for face value.
It's just a matter of how much you want to chance it. You can probably find tickets before the game, but since you are already going through all of the expenses of traveling to BR, I would get my ticket before gameday via ebay or something. You might have to pay an extra $100 or so, but consider it insurance, and more time to enjoy the tailgating, rather than walking around hunting for tickets. If you don't buy them beforehand, and cannot find them outside the stadium, I guess you could always watch the game outside with the other 100,000 or so people out there... I guess all of this depends on your bankroll as well
You and I have had very different experiences then. I would think this will be toughest ticket BR has had in a while. Top ten or even top five opponent and also opening day at tiger stadium. I think tickets will be hard to come by. Not impossible by any stretch but certainly difficult. The good news is that even if you don't get in the game, you will have a blast tailgating then watch the game at a bar. It will still be worth the trip
Thanks for your information. I like the idea of perhaps paying a bit more now as a form of "insurance...." Will consider that option. See you in BR! Lynchburg Hokie
Welcome to the forum, stick around to keep us updated on the envronment leading up to the game. Have a safe trip and hope you get some tics.
I've been to most of the home games for the last 5 years and yes, the big games the tickets are scarce and they tend to get expensive. Before making such a long trip I'd definately have mine in hand.
