UTEP (8-3) vs. Toledo (8-3) There are three bowls that are easy to confuse with one another: The GMAC, the music city and the motor city. The confusion starts with the two alliterative bowls – motor city and music city – so that if I’m not paying attention, I sometimes think to myself, detroit is the motor city; nashville is the music city. To make things even harder, memphis is in the motor city bowl this year. Then when you think of GMAC you tend to think of general motors, hence the confusion with above. well at least i do. anyhow.... The schools both rank in the top 25 in scoring: 34.9 points per game for Toledo (which ranks 15th in the nation) and 33.4 PPG for UTEP (22nd). the rockets have done it with the nation’s 12th-ranked ground attack (221.6 YPG), led by Trinity Dawson (1,170 yards, 5 TD) while the Miners rely on the fifth-best passing game behind quarterback Jordan Palmer (60.8%, 3,340 yards, 28 TD, 18 INT). I'm not sure who wins this one since i like both offenses. I usually stick to the running team when in doubt but mike price's passing attack could overwhelm toledo here. flipping a coin and taking toledo. not that anyone cares. 34-31.
I gots UTEP...Ah, why in the HELL would Price be so stupid when he came here?! Oh well, I am happy with Shula.
He's a good coach and I would have liked his system...But what he did was simply stupid. I'm not dogging my coach like most people would/do here. We are in the right direction with Shula at the helm. Price just muffed up...
the one worry with hiring price is recruiting. you'd lose a few in the bible belt due to his little incident. I think he can overcome it. oh and I forgot to add jordan palmer is carson's little brother. another reason to watch.
heres some food for thought: it was bound to happen sooner or later. thankfully for you guys, it was sooner...
How could I have possibly missed that pun when I replied to Tirk? I need more and stronger coffee. :thumb:  :thumb:
