    Leave it to Beaver!

Is it at all possible that the woman invited the man to grope her and then went and got Chase? No woman is capable of that, right?

This story is incomplete at best. I hope Chase is not spinning a web of lies that will result in charges and agressive action from the kid who got his ass kicked.

A football player kicking someone's ass outside a bar for any reason other than a last result to defend themselves is absolutely 110% unacceptable.

Flame away, but it is what it is. He let down his team and he let down himself by getting involved in a fight for any reason other than pure self-defense.

Defending a woman's honor? Get the F**K out of here with that crap. Congratulations, her "honor" has been successfully defended - Pass Go and Collect $200! Give me a break.

Hey Chase, can you defend the run? What about a woman's honor?

Nice job for giving this kid kudos and moral support.

Bottom line, when you come to LSU to be a god, a member of the Louisiana Royal Family, you DO NOT GET INTO FIGHTS OUTSIDE OF A BAR FOR ANY REASON OUTSIDE OF LAST RESORT SELF-DEFENSE.

I'm excited that this kid got into trouble because this woman's honor was defended - how many points do we get for a woman's honor on September 3rd? How many tackles get recorded for that one?

How about get pissed, get your woman, get in the car, leave the bar, go home and grope your woman yourself, wake up, remember who you are and what you do, stay pissed, hit the weight room, tell your buddies about it, and, if you can't stand it, the next time you see the dude, have a few football players put him on notice. Have EJ Kuale apporach the guy and watch him crap his pants. Kicking the kid's ass is rediculous and making excuses for it is Bobby Bowden to the hilt...

Where did you come up with "sucker punch" or "beat down" in the published account. Nowhere. What has been reported is a fistfight with two punches thrown. One missed and one connected. Until the police report more, this speculation is just ridiculous.

So now I'm an idiot because I'm asking you what should be done to the player that you already have as guilty because you took premature information without all the facts and pretty much slammed the guy and LSU fans who seemed to defend him. Now new info is out and Chase may have been defending himself as the guy may have thrown the first punch, so it might just be that a whole lot of people are rushing into this without all information available.
Anyway have a good day there Scrappy, and next time you address me it's
    Mr. Idiot to you........ :dis:

Exactly. These things generally get broken up before anybody even knows what they were all about.

I used to work the door on Sunday nights at an establishment in Prairieville
that's popular w/ LSU students (no need to mention any names...most people from around here know the place I'm talking about). I was always worrying about all that testosterone and alcohol mixing together in that place. And when you throw attractive young ladies looking for attention into the equation, you have a potential recipe for catstrophe. Fortunately, in a year and a half of working there, I seldom had any problems that couldn't be settled with a firm word, or a stern glare.

These guys know damn well that a punch from them can do serious, serious damage. Short of truly defending yourself---say, if a smaller man or men come at you with a bat or someone pulls a knife or something similarly stupid---someone Pittman's size and strength has to show some restraint.

If nothing else, get one or two of your average sized buddies (and, being a talented LSU football player, I'm sure he has plenty of entourage-types) to rough up someone you don't like a little bit. Sure, there's something a touch wussy about having another fight your battle, but it keeps you out of trouble, the school and the program out of the paper over something bad, and the guy you punch out of the hospital.

If even 1/3 of this is true, Chase will have no case and is off-base. This indicates a bully and liability to this football team (if the above is true).

Unless Les Miles ordered a Code Red, Chase Pittman is in a pickle...
