I take exception to the 'HOT' list and USC's defense being pre-ordained as 'the best in college football'. Maybe, going up against the the weak PAC-10. Everyone who knows football knows the best defense resided in BR.

No need to take exception, USC has been in the top 3 recruiting classes for like 5 years now. Can't even tell you the number of 5*'s but nearly the entire defense is returning, including LB's. LoJack, Rivers, and Ellis could all have left for the NFL but decided to stay. Rivers, Rey Rey, and Cushing are considered by many to be the best LB trio in the country. Their secondary has a ton of experience in Pinckard, Keto, and TT not to mention manchild Taylor Mays.

Consider the fact we lost some big time players, it says a lot about our D to be where we are. I said it a couple of months back- USC's defense will be sic........ours too. That's why I'd love to see 'em in the NC Game. Should be a great matchup.
