If we could get a bunch of people, it might do a little to factor into him staying. I had read somebody mention it. Does anyone want to lead the charge? It couldn't hurt to demonstrate how much we want Nick to stay.
I actually posted something similar when the miami/saban interview story first broke. most members around here are very pessimistic thinking that it won't help. It helped sway Mike K at Duke, and, as long as saban and his family are on the fence, it could only help. If I were living anywhere remotely close to BR, I would be there yelling my ass off. I hope it works, but don't bank on it.
Nah.. not during practice... The coaches and players are doing very important work at practice in preparation for accomplishing what is truly important in college football: WINNING a football game.
Do it after practice then...I think it couldn't hurt if he was truly on the fence with his decision. ***These statements made by RayLSU are purely opinion. I definitely don't see how it would hurt to have him hear a few thousand fans chanting outside down below his office.
Even better ... Crowd together upwind of Saban ... with huge signs begging Saban to stay and each of you with 100 $1 very used bills (they flutter better) ... and get the BR newscam there for the big "Lift off" ... That would be one helluva sight ... might make a National news report or two
They can always wait until after practice when the players and coaching staff is leaving McClendon Practice Fascility...
You really think that would influence Nick's decision? Not a chance. You'd have just as much luck by chanting incantations and snapping your fingers at the moon every 5 minutes. This is a career and family decision for Nick. He doesn't care squat about what we think or he wouldn't do this dance every year.
i think it would be cool if we could somehow make a huge sign to cover up the scoreboard that says "STAY"
