Marcus sure has athletic ability and a great attitude. He has good size, speed and shiftiness. He may be a late bloomer.

Does an NFL team draft him late round and try him at running back or safety? From there, maybe a 4 QB in case of emergency.

Or try the CFL at QB, maybe NFL Europe eventually?

    College assistant coach?

    Your thoughts?

Don't know, BUT if history is an indication Brian Mitchell Former qb for USL had a great ride as a return man.

I think its very unlikely he gets drafted at all, maybe picked up to be on the practice squad or something. He could try CFL or Europe, but I really don't see him being a coach, any kind.

Running back is here he'll get a free agent NFL or CFL opportunity. He has running back size and speed and credentials as a runner. He has no future as a professional QB, but a long shot at RB. He might get an opportunity to prove himself in the NFL Europe.

If he cuts his body fat a little and puts on a little more muscle, he would be a hoss at RB.. 6'2" 235 or so.. and he runs, what? a 4.5 or so.. thats a nice place to be as an NFL running back.. safety would be good too, he has great toughness.

Add to that the fact that he's actually shown a little bit of an aptitude and ability for blocking in the last few games. I'm sure it didn't go unnoticed by the pro scouts that Marcus actually leveled a couple of defenders with blocks in both the Alabama and Arkansas games.

He has no future in football unless he goes into coaching

At QB......nada. His best shot is to convert to RB. I think he can do it.

His best bet is to try to get with the New England Patriots. Just ask "Boo" Gay.

I'm really not sold on him going to the NFL, or really pursuing any football career as a matter of fact. Of course, I was really not sold on Mauck going to the NFL either.
