His future in Football is as bright as mine....

Great kid, great Tiger, future football player. No when LSU plays its bowl game thats the last snap Randall will take as a football player.

Unless you count Arena II league.

As far as his becoming a football coach, I think that's his major (education). He probably is planning on being a coach.

Per locoguano..."If he cuts his body fat a little and puts on a little more muscle"

Have you looked at MR? That dude probably has less than 10% body fat & is extremely muscular for a qb. Throw in a 400+ bench press & the kid is very strong. His only shot IMO would be at SS, but considering he hasn't taken a snap on the defensive side of the ball, it would be a longshot to say the least.

Very Unlikey he plays anywhere given the amount of talent in the Football league's these days BUT.....Long years ago, CHolly mac had a "two" Qb system. Steve Ensminger was supposedly the better passer, and David Woodley was supposedly the better runner. They both did pretty decent from what I can recall. David went on to Miami and went to a Super Bowl in a losing effort.
No one Thought Woodley would "ever" play Pro Ball. Most thought of the two, Ensminger would be more likey to get playing time somewhere.

of course that was a while back and things are different now.

My point is this: none of you people know what this young man's future is, conditions being right anything can happen. I doubt it, but you never know. He might be mayor in 10 years, or chancellor or coach in 15? who knows?

Former LSu quarterback Herb Tyler got a free agent shot at running back, even though he was undersized and slow for an NFL back. He didn't make the cut, but the scouts took him seriously. Randall is a much better runner and does have NFL size and speed. That long run he made in the Cotton Bowl convinced me that he might have made a fine college running back.

I agree that he doesn't need to cut his body fat, but I think he has a bit more than 10%. Also, are you sure he can bench 400 lbs? That seems a bit high.

I personally think Randall has exceptional running ability. He seems to have good vision and escapability when hitting the hole. I agree with the consensus on this thread that his future as a qb doesn't appear to be too bright, but I'd like to see him get a chance at RB.
