How do you feel about the early Virginia Tech game? Do you think we'll make it against one of the stingiest defenses in the league?
How do you feel about the Auburn game? I guess we'll go against a very fired up Auburn team that has always given us one hell of a game.
Florida, defending national champion, no. 1 recruiting class? will we make it?
Arkansas? The same guys that rushed for like 300 yds against us, but with more experience.
And finally, ALABAMA? We're going to probably a game that will be as hyped up as it gets, a crowd and a team that are both fired up for both teams. Lots of hatred was built up in the off-season, will it go with us or against us? Will Alabama be the Ole Miss of the 2006 season?
Do you think Matt Flynn is going to have a good/bad/great game? Will Perrilloux steal the show? Is Keiland Williams going to be the superstar of the season?
    Discuss...express your opinion.

I believe this will be a great year, showing just how good Miles and his staff are in both recruiting and teaching.

Va Tech will be a tough game and low scoring, but the Tiger D will be better than the Tech D I think.

The Auburn game will be the first lopsided battle in this series in a few years with the Bengals topping the Hens.

The Bama game will be terrific with LSU pulling out another close victory in Tusc. I think Flynn's temperment will be the deciding factor in close games this upcoming season, or RP's brilliance(I think the only way RP beats Matt out is if he plays brilliantly in practice and that will carry over into the games).

I think UF lost a little too many players to make a serious run at an SEC title and also believe we will beat them in Baton Rouge, by 2 TD's I'll predict.

The game that worries me at this point is South Carolina. Spurrier will have this team clicking and the Tigers may not be up for it. I believe this may be the most important game as for us possibly going undefeated.

I think the players that will be the leaders of this team will be Hester, Black, Flynn, Williams, Murphy, Doucet, Jackson, Ali and Darry in addition to the entire defensive front.

The players who had some impact last year that will have a big impact this year I think are Dickson, Helms(will maul the middle), Allen(if Arnold gets hurt again), Stewart(win a starting job at RT), McCray.

The newcomers I think will have an impact are both Mitchell's, Coleman, Odom, Taylor, Eugene, Woods, and one of the athletes like Tolliver, Byrd or Brooks.

i think LSU's defense will be stellar again but i think the offense may show some rust b/c of crowton installing a new offense and flynn be a new starter.

once again, the auburn game will be the most important game all season.

i think it's reasonable to expect 10-2 and to be battling for the west. but i wouldn't be surprised at 9-3.

I look for our offense to be much stronger than projected- and I understand the reservations with a relatively new to new qb by rational measures; however, either one will have many weapons and we won't have to be fancy to win games. With our defense as solid as projected to be, it shouldn't take 28 + points to win games.

Because we'll be so loaded with talent, balanced, and a favorable schedule in regards to home & away games with the "Critical" ones, I think it's possible to go undefeated but realistically a one loss team going to the NC game.

Less than that would not mean failure but I'd be disappointed cause I know if things fall into place it's very feasible. Again, less than that wouldn't mean failure and I know expecting NC's is a high expectation but LSU has emerged as a power house program......How great to even be able to talk about the possibility of playing for a NC before the season starts- Hell, in '03, it kinda unfolded like that as the season went on and not really an "Expectation" when we began the season......if I remember correctly- but I may be wrong, I'm not good at recalling past seasons too well and tend to focus more on current/future seasons.

I expect to play for the SEC title. I use to say anything less would be a bust, but this was a satisfying year without the trip to Atlanta. So I got to rephrase and say anything less than a chance at the SEC title or a BCS trip is a bust.

A trip to Atlanta. To say a MNC or a 1-loss season is setting the bar too high.

correct me if i'm wrong but we're playing miss st to open it at miss st?

if that's the case then i am not worried about vatech at all. i think we're going to be the most exciting team to watch in the country. we have a mobile quarterback, insanely fast receivers that can actually catch the ball. we have a solid oline, a stable of great running backs and we haven't even seen what murphy can do.

and defense... does anyone have to say anything? we're gonna be sick. period.

i think we lose either the alabama game or the florida game with south carolina scaring me a little. my prediction is 11-1, no postseason predictions.

I hope so........not to start seeing Miss. St. as a "Tune-up" game but I'd prefer them to "Beamer ball" in our first outing.

LSU should be very strong on defense, I think eveybody agrees.

I don't see a big drop-off on offense. Sure we lose a long-arm QB, but that was not and will not be our only weapon. The new OC will be implementing an offense that takes advantage of the talent he has. And there is talent to work with. And depth.

The kicking game cost us our two losses last year and MUST improve. Lack of a 50-yard FG kicker cost us Auburn, the return teams fumbed away the Florida game, and the coverage teams gave up WAY too much return yardage all season.

    My concerns for 2007:

    1. Will the green freshmen kickers be able to hit the long field goal?

    2. Will Peveto's return and coverage teams be improved? THIS IS CRITICAL.

    3. Will the offensive line do a better job at run-blocking?

    4. Will our senior safeties be replaced with comparable players?

    5. Do we have enough depth at linebacker?

I consider these minor concerns and I think LSU has the talent and the schedule to have a fine season and perhaps go all the way in 2007. But the answers to some of these questions will be the difference between 12-0 and 10-2.
