I got in my car and heard Mauck's name mentioned and then heard something to the effect that "this would not be a good time to have to throw Marcus Randal out there"

also heard that Shy Carey may be ineligible because of skipping class???

anyone know anything? I know we can overcome Carey having to sit out but if Mauck is injured or something I dont know if we can beat OU with Randal.

Ott said that there is a "story" that MM has an appendicitis

Mauck is having some bad luck. Didn't he have the flu not too long ago?

I know we have some MD posters here...what's normal recovery time for an appendectomy? Even if this is true and MM had an appendicitis, I'm wondering if 2 weeks is enough to recover?

I read the Mauck appendix rumor last week when he had food poisoning.

I hope it is not true, but you never know......

I also saw were the SID at LSU said all players made grades, so Carey did something else to get suspended.

I don't think he had appendicitis, but if he did, it would be bad news. He could play, but the abs would be very weak from not using them for a couple of weeks. The QBs use these muscles to throw- both to stabilize the upper body and to follow through. Try throwing without your abs tense, and you will wind up throwing it like a girl (back bent).
