    There's another split national championship?

What if USC wins the BCS and, let's say, Aubarn wins the AP? Do you think USC will cry foul?

It is not possible for USC to win the BCS and not the AP. However Auburn could very well win the BCS and lose the AP to the media darlings in Cali.

Personally, I am cheering for an identical finish to the season as last year just to hear the Trojans whine - how funny and amusing was that for 9 months?

I don't see how USC could win the BCS and not the AP - the AP will have USC #1 up until the Orange Bowl. If USC were left out for some reason, they will repeat as AP Champs

However, if OU were to play USC in the BCS championship and win - and if auburn were to play in another BCS bowl and win - the AP could very well award Auburn the AP Trophy just to spite the BCS. I do think that something will be worked out if Auburn, OU, Wisconsin, and USC remain undefeated - we may get to see that "humpback" game earlier than expected. The undefeated records make this a much bigger mess than last year. If USC can win, the writers will slap high fives and move on to basketball season. If USC drops the ball, the AP will look to shake things up in an attempt to remind us of how important they are...

Best possible outcome is for OU to drop a game, AU and USC to win out and duke it out in the Orange with AU handing USC its azz in an orange peel.

Second best outcome is for USC, OU, and AU to remain unbeaten, with USC and OU to play in the Orange, and OU winning. Then AU can play in another BCS bowl, win, and lay claim to a "split" NC, leaving USC with only a few FBCS t-shirts.

maybe if the BCS works like it should, USC will not play for the MNC even if they are undefeated. they cannot hang with a real team (sorry, Cal is not a real team, nor is Arizona State), and they do not play a conference championship game. put them in a real conference and see how they end up...I rather see Utah or Boise play in the MNC then USC, they are just as undeserving IMO.

Hmmm...I wish OU could drop a game, but I just don't see that happening. Well, they are coming pretty close lately and barely hanging on so maybe Baylor will give them a fight. On the other hand, USC will hopefully overlook Oregon State or Notre Dame.

I think Auburn may be the best team in the country right now. They have pretty much blew away everyone except for LSU. I guess we'll see in the next few weeks. I believe Bama will give them more of a fight than UGA will though. Bama would LOVE to spoil their hopes at a N.C.!

You are forgetting about Wisconsin. IMHO the best scenario is that all four teams go undefeated and the BCS gets a trophy shoved up its azz so hard we institute a playoff system.
