1. I much prefer night games, no doubt about it but I'll deal with 2:30 kick-offs if that means we're a great program.
  2. Agree 100%. I can't figure out why they don't do this...it would be great for their bottom line and there are multiple top SEC matchups to choose from almost every week. I think in the Southeast alone, they would KILL in the ratings.
  3. The reason they do not do night games or many double headers is because the shows that come on after football games have huge ratings. I dont even know what comes on after the games, but Im sure it involves lots of old people.

    About ratings:
    The ratings in the southeast alone may be good but I really don't think the rest of the country would care about SEC football unless it was 2 top ten matchups.
  5. ABC constantly subjects us to Pac-10 / Big Ten / Big XII games in primetime. Apparently the national ratings work well enough for them.
  6. It's all about dollars. If CBS determined they could make more $$$ showing football during prime time on Saturday night they would do it. Their bean counters have obviously determined they can't, therefore with one exception they don't.
