What if, just hypothetically that all three OU, USC and Auburn lose this weekend. Then what happens, do they move Utah to #1 ? Do the rankings stay the same, cant be UT and Cal both have 1 loss as well. I guess it would be Cal vs Utah.... Talk about BCS chaos... That would be fun to watch...
According to Jerry Palm (the guy from collegebcs.com), Texas will pass Cal with a loss from just one of the current top 3. Apparently this is because Texas is already so high in the computers compared to Cal and a loss from the top three would bump Texas up another spot in just about every computer poll. I would like to see it...but there's about 0.00000000000000000001% chance of it happening. :thumb:
Makes sense so then it would be UT vs Utah I assume. I know its a long shot but it would be funny to see..
Another one............. Colorado, UCLA, & Tennessee Either one wins Saturday and Texas goes to a BCS bowl In every computer poll Texas would move up to 3rd, and the losing team would drop to 4th. In the human polls you could expect them to drop to 4th or 5th. Cal could move up to 3rd, it wouldn't matter. Cal would keep its 6th spot in the computers a .800. Texas would have a .920 in the computers. Texas would be the At-Large team & Utah. I should mention that this would put Texas in THIRD in the BCS standings. So if two lose Texas would be in the Orange Bowl. Could *possibly* be an OU/TX Orange Bowl.
Wow how nuts would that be, got to admit if its no LSU aside from Alabama vs Auburn (For me) there is nothing better then the red river shootout...
A Texas/OU Orange Bowl would scare me. Sure I'd like to play for the national title, but I'd rather not give Greg Davis a chance to call plays against OU on an even bigger level. :dis:
AustinTXHorn, what is the 411 on Greg Davis, I have several good friends who are UT alum and are not huge fans of the guy, is Brown going to can him at the end of the season or does he return next year. Just curious. Thanks.
If we had lost 2 regular season games this year, he would probably be gone. But since we had a 10-1 regular season and arguably Mack's best in Austin so far, Davis will be back. Davis' playcalling is horrible and the only time it was good this year was when Mack decided to really take charge of it and call most of the plays.
Greg Davis is there as long as Mack is. They are best buddies. Mack is not going to **** can him. It will eventually be Macks downfall.
