1. Correct. If we had a QB that could carry the team, we would mostlikely be 8 - 1. But if we had a defense that would help carry the QB, we mostlikely would be 8 - 1.

Difference is we expected the QB to need help. We didn't expect the defense to play like it has for most of the season.

  2. Who knows if the QB makes plays and the defense feeds off that emotion maybe we are a different team. Football is an emotional sport. We all agree the 2 DC system is not working. That will get fixed.

The main point of this thread is that I'm glad CLM is our coach and I think he will do the right thing this off season with the DC situation and our QB situation.
  3. Very true words.
  4. he's done a hell of a job hiring coordinators. Granted the 2 DC's may not work out but every other hire has been great. I think he will make a great hire again if he has to.
  5. Stuff like this has me believing he may stick around a while. I think he genuinely loves us here.
  6. AMEN BROTHA!!! This is what frustrates me beyond belief about Bama and many other college games I watch. I love the excitement of watching a come back and making the game more interesting. But in all reality when a team has another team down by three td's or more there's no excuse for not putting the nail in the coffin. "Killer instinct" is what my old HS coach used to tell us.
  7. I'm confident that we could've hired a very good coach if Miles had left. That said, there's nobody I'd rather over Miles (including Saban). I still feel very good about the direction of our program.

Miles wouldn't be struggling as bad as RR is because he wouldn't be implementing a whole new system, but if he did have the same record, he would be taking wayyy more heat than RR is.
  8. No, you're right. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a "shake-up" with some of the assistants--specifically on the defensive side, after this season.
