I was looking around at old plays and caught this video of the Bluegrass Miracle. Can someone please explain?

Edit: I've added the original just for comparison

I can't view the video but assuming at work but assuming you are referring to Hawthorne's Jack Hunt error. I heard they had Hawthorne do a voice over correction to get Devery's name later.

Talk about errors. I had a plethora of them in my reply.

I haven't heard this edited version before. That will forever be Hawthorne's legacy at LSU, no matter how much he wants to escape it.

Apprently the Patriots radio guy made a similar error for the Brady to Welker 99 yd TD against the Dolphins in week 1 (tied NFL record and I think was a Pats record).

He said it was Gronkowski that caught the pass at first and the other guy corrected him after a couple of seconds. The difference in their height/weight made that error really bad.

"Caught! Caught! Touchdown! Jack Hunt caught it and scored", is etched in my brain forever. You can't rewrite history or recreate a moment. It's lame to even try.

Jack Hunt was no.7. Was he not?

Not as bad as confusing a white safety for a black wide receiver (I know, he played WR the previous year).

    Jack Hunt wore no. 8.
