Great fan rants, analysis and wishful thinking are evident in the Tiger Den. Here is what I have learned about LSU and ‘Bama fans.
    1. Both have fans with “gut feels” about how their team will squeak, win and/or dominate the opposition.
    2. Both have fans with logical analytical explanations of why their team wins.
    3. Both have fans who can only denigrate the opponent. They are easily identified by their ability to re-spell the opponents name is some less than flattering manner.
    4. Both have fans that give an honest head nod to the opponent’s abilities and record and even fan base while retaining their confidence that their team will somehow prevail.
    5. Both have fans that after the game is over will proclaim that they knew it would turn out this way.
    6. But, neither have fans that won’t be as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs at 7 PM CST on November 5th.

I possess all of the qualities in varying degrees and can’t wait to see the game and hopefully LSU prevails. I expect a “Top 10” all time CFB game that can be talked about for years.

I believe the keys to watch for are key mental errors made by players and real time game plan adjustments made by coaching staffs.

In high school, we asked the physics teacher, who was a former AAU boxer, who was going to win the Ali-Frazier fight. He thought real hard, very quietly and said..."I don't know boys, but I do know this...whoever does win knows more physics than the other guy. Now open your books to page...."

So I think Bear Bryant himself would say that whoever blocks, tackles, throws, runs, the best will win. All the analysis fails if fundamental football isn't played.

    I'm the pragmatic fan.

Disagree ... Bama fans cite irrelevant statistics that have nothing to do with how this LSU team plays and executes football ... They grudgingly give LSU respect because they hate to admit that LSU and Les Miles owns Saban when we have a team loaded with talent at all key positions and they come here (to assuage their fears of another loss) tryin to present their case, which is a total FAIL as the facts never add up and are only one-sided, typical of gumps ... See Tappy's posts ...

:D ... I denigrate them every chance I can ... DEATH TO ALL BAMMERS WHO EXALT THEMSELVES ... This is me ... Mc Carrion thread

However, this isn't my ONLY talent ... My untold hours of video and following this team pays off ... $$$$$$ ... very nicely, I may add

Tip: Vegas hasn't a clue about LSU FB ... If they did have a clue, then LSU would be a -7 point favorite at Bama ... It's all media preseason hype

Sure ... Why not ... These are the vast majority of fans on this forum who know little about football and just root for their team

Sure ... Why not ... everyone wants to be a winner

Fail ... I'm gone elephant hunting ... not even the least worried that LSU will execute their game & win easy
