    2002 44-22
    NCAA Regional Champions

    2003 45-22-1
SEC Champions; College World Series Participants

    2004 46-19
NCAA Regional & Super Regional Champions; CWS Participants

2005 40-22 SEC Western Division Champions

I know that looks impressive but is it really? Where does it say National Champs under his name? And when he leaves who will take his place?

This team is pretty young so I don't expect much. Bertman isn't stupid. He knows when he should make a change. We're not close to that point yet.

Who is that (Tulane coach?)? I assume it is not Houston Street the closer;) . I really need to catch up on my college baseball.

I'm expecting great things because these guys are good enough to be at LSU. We'll have as good a team as we usually do. They'll be competitive and fun to watch, they probably won't win the whole thing, but only one team out of XXXX colleges does.

We lost our leadoff guy and cleanup hitter recently to injuries. this was already our most shallow team since the beginning of the bertman era. maybe even before then.

We were also picked #5 in the SEC west if that tells you anything. from #5 in the country to #5 in our division...not even the conference overall.

though I think the coaches voted us 2nd in the west and Moo U first out of habit.

I think Ole Myth has the best talent in the west and likely UF in the east.

LSU has little power this year and very little speed with inconsistent, unproven pitching. a recipe for a mediocre year especially by LSU standards.

fwiw, i like andy lopez actually even though UF ran him off. I think he was in a regional last year with Arizona whom he coaches.
