I would have to say that the best game and my most favorite game in my 3 years in Tiger Stadium was the 2003 UGA at LSU game. The stadium was electric, the game itself was better than most movies. The tempo of the both groups of fans was awesome. I was sitting next to some Georgia fans and the entire game we were cheering back and forth. When UGA scored their long screen TD, an older UGA man stood on the bleecher and started screaming and dancing yelling its great to be a Jawja bulldog. Then when Green scored the go ahead TD, it looked like he was about to cry. Was my greatest moment at LSU, other than being in the SuperDome for the National Title and seeing Saban pick up the Crystal Football with an almost boyish grin on his face.
Soo many to choose from. I'd have to say my all-time favorites are: 1. Earthquake game against Auburn. As a 10 year old, it was my first trip to Tiger stadium, and I was hooked for life. 2. 1997 game against Spurrier and No.1 (at the time) Fla. You could just feel the electricity in the air and the spirit of Death Valley was in fiull force that night. 3. 2001 game against Auburn when we won the West for the first time. I loved that we kicked their asses after the classless cigar incident the last time they were there and the "stomping on the eye" incident. There are so many more I could write about, but for me, those 3 really stand out.
This year's season opener, Oregon St, was the most exciting game I've ever seen in Tiger Stadium (granted, I am relatively new to being a Tiger fan). Defending National Champions, so much curiosity for the opening game, Almost entirely new faces, the emergence of new stars, the debut of *our future QB (or atleast I thought at the time... not so sure anymore), the mucky weather, JR running it in for the 2 point conversion, the overtime, the missed PATS... I thought I about had a heart attack - it was intense and although maybe not my favorite, one I will certainly never forget.
My first year at LSU or even in the state of Louisiana was Sept. 2001, so I have experience a lot of great games. Last year every game was great but i loved beating UGA, Burners, and ... La Tech cuz they actually thought they had a chance (fans were hilarious). Worst game ever was Florida last year, they beat us worse in 2001 but that was stung worse. 2001 had its great games... the Auburn game (trombone kid, Burners dancing on the eye ... grrrr, onside kick to start game).... 2002 I cant remember any great games really...
I will have to go with my freshman year in 2000 when we beat Tenn is overtime. That was the loudest I have ever heard Tiger Stadium get.
That was the only game that I was able to go to this year, and man was that a close one... I was yelling at the top of my lungs almost the whole game, and I almost passed out twice from that at the end of the game (mabye hyperventelation?!?).... but that didnt stop me from cheering for my tigers   :tigerhead Geaux Tigers :tigerhead ... good times indeed...
The night it rained oranges as LSU beat the HELL out of Florida State to earn a spot in the Orange Bowl.
