If we open up the officen (go down field) and we play D like the first half of the Tenn game i would say 34-17 tigers win. If we play like the second half of the Tenn game then tigers win 24-20.
Obviously alot of it depends on how the players react to last week & how the coaches make adjustments, but there's still A LOT of kinks to be worked out. I think we win by 17.
I went with 15-21. This is an improved Miss State team, especially on defense, with many returning starters. But I think LSU will come ready to play, and will want a big win after Monday. The talent at LSU is so much better, even with the shorter week to get ready for the game, I think it will be a 3 possession win minimum. The thing about the SEC is, even the not so good teams are good enough to jump on the good teams if they're overlooked, and this Miss State team did that to Florida last year. So let's just hope LSU isn't looking past this game...
I will not be happy with anything other than 30+.....don't give me that crap about how "I just want a W". If we "just" get that W and squeak by.....we will have a lot of "L's" to follow. If I were Miles, I'd try and hang 70.
note the word "try".....meaning I'd try to do it, as in open up the offense and let er rip, and don't stop until the clock reads 00:00.
Two predictions: 1. LSU shows with decent game plan (both sides) & should win: LSU 38, MSU 10 2. PELLINI THE MAGNIFICENT DOESN'T PRESSURE AN INJURED OMAR CONNOR & HAS THEM SIT BACK IN A SOFT ZONE ALL NIGHT LONG (EQUALS A FB IQ LOWER THAN FORREST GUMP'S): MSU 28, LSU 27
I think the boys will be fired up as all hell...massive chip on their shoulder, and something to prove. Look for the D to be physical; Conner may not be safe. Expect a similar result as last year, save for the shutout. I think we drop fitty on that fledgling program. I would not want to be MSU now. Ok, not that I would EVER want to be that sorry team, but especially now.
