This whole injury has been suspicious to me. How does a "bruised" ankle take more than a month to heal? Why do they continue to put him in games if he isn't 100%? It has to be more than a bruised ankle. A severe sprain would heal within a month. I can understand that they want to keep a lid on the injury and mislead the other teams, but the upcoming teams must know by now that he will not be playing or will not be a factor. Also they know that if he comes into the game, it will be a pass play. So has anybody heard anything other than "Its a bruised ankle and he is 95%"? He didn't even appear to be 75% against Bama. Why even put him in? Rest him.
Have you ever played football? Have you ever had a deep bruise? I had one just above my knee my junior year and had to have an ace bandage with a brace over it for every game.. even then it hurt like hell...
He was practicing fine yesterday. He was practicing fine everyday the past month supposedly, but Miles keeps saying that he's "re-tweaking" it. Addai played some against Bama after he was pulled. They used him as a blocker on 3rd downs I believe. So it's not like he's unable to play with it, he just isn't his usual self.
even if he don't, we beat bama without him... who's to say we can't beat Ole Miss or Arkansas without him
I don't like hearing that he will play against Ole Miss. If the injury has been continually "re-tweaking" it then shouldn't he be rested until it is better. Why put him out there every game only to re-tweak the injury. Get him 100% for the Georgia game. You only hurt him more and the team by putting him in the game. I would just prefer that he is rested and allowed to recover fully before playing him.
Well why don't you be the who to look a senior in the eye and tell him he CANT play in one of his final games of his career at LSU
Oooo! Burn! great point! but, I think someone mentioned not playing addai vs north texas and also questioned why he would start against appalacian state... Oh yeah... that was me... I really wish addai could have been 100 percent against bama. I wish he would have played only because he would have got his name out there, out rushing kenny darby...
IMO, Addai wants to play and Miles wants him to play, but, they are being extremely cautious. If he gets in and there's a sign that he could be seriously re-injured, they will not take a chance. I think that's what happened the last 2 weeks. Addia goes in, comes out and says "I felt something" and they all decide it's not worth the risk. Addai can play in SECCG and bowl games and on Sundays next year. They want to be sure he's able to.
