I heard on Conference Call that his stock is dropping fast. The way they make it sound, he may not even go in the second round of the draft. For such a smart guy, it seems like he listened to some bad advice.

shouldnt of left....he's gonna have to be a small foward at the next level and being back another year could of helped him work on the tools to be a small foward at the next level...he has a good medium shot but he needs to work on a outside shot and dribbling and driving to the basket....dang it makes me mad to think he got some really bad advice....oh well...good luck Brandon.

his stock may not be dropping. it just probably was never up there to begin with.

dont blame anyone but him for this decision. he'd probably have better luck getting the saints to draft him at TE.

I've thought about this and Im not sure he didn't make the right decision. He was SEC POY the year after he was SEC Rookie of the Year. How much further could he go up individually?

Don't get me wrong, Im sure he could have improved his stock by returning, but I just don't think it would have improved so drastically that it would have made him want to come back.

Basically, if he isn't going to go higher than late first, early second by being the SEC Player of the Year ( which is given to the player who has the best and most important season to their team), then how much higher can he go??

Brandon Bass seems to be a good kid and he'll turn out OK. If not as a high pick, then as a developmental player for some NBA team that sees his potential.

Someone is going to take Bass in the second round. The guy can play.

Plain and simple - stupid move! He's listed at 6-8 but he's more like 6-6 and plays with his back to the basket, not real condusive to the NBA.

So how does coming back to LSU for another year enhance his position in the NBA. He would have been a 6'6 player teamed alongside Big Baby & would not have had the chance to improve on his NBA deficiencies(outside shootin & ball handling skills). Another year under Brady would not have made him a more marketable player as far as the NBA is concerned. Give me a call if you would like to discuss further.

he would have improved his stock because after this year there will more then likely be an age limit in the NBA keeping all underclassmen out of the draft.
