WTF? Why can't we stop the runback after the kick?

Special teams have underperformed for three straight years. Special teams coach Brad Peveto has a lot to answer for. I really expected Miles to replace him after last year bad performance. Les has to get a handle on this, it's going to cost us a game some day soon..

LA Tech shouldn't be able to nearly run back kickoffs on us. Plain and simple.

Kick coverage could come back and bite us in the ass before this season is over. It almost did against Bama.

    Tech's kick returns were disturbing.

Their returns were great - - and THAT is what's disturbing. Our gunners overran the play a couple of times, and others let the returner run right by. They all seem to want to arm tackle. Need to get their legs. Most returners fall down if you hold both of their ankles together. I've noticed that over the years. At least I have a firm grip on the obvious, unlike our special teams players.....:eek:ldskule:

His first year in 2005, LSU was #5 in the country in net punting average, 1st in the SEC in kickoff coverage, and 12th in the country in punt return average. So he has some credentials, we'll see though. That was 2005 but I think we should give him some more time to see if he can change things. Obviosuly Miles knows what goes on during practices, so I trust he'll make the right decision

Not just special teams coverage of other teams' returns, I am also concerned about the pass defense recently.
