O.k., O.k., so our season wasn't that great... 7-4... the little things. Early on we stunk, deserved our losses to lowly Iowa State, then tOSU... but then, man, Solomon drops that pass in the endzone against Michigan, late, for the win, wide open, damn, and we lose in overtime... then we're up @ NW 27-14 with less than four minutes to play (sound familar) and they recover an onside kick, score, damn, we lose. Coulda, shoulda... been 9-2... easy... CapOne... maybe Auburn. But, I will say this... that was the Iowa we all love that stuffed the 8-2 Wissies in Alvarez's last home game.... then totally shut down Minnesota's 5th ranked running game... up 35-0 and the half... smoked 'em. Where the hell was our defense earlier??? Looks like Oklahoma in the Alamo... but we're still hoping for some Outback votes... they love us in Tampa. Whoever gets us... watch out... this is a very good team right now. SO.... on to you guys... your projected bowlmate sucks... what does a win over West Virginia do for anyone? I mean if you win, it's so what... and if you lose, the whole conference gets the dreaded "over-rated" tag. And ND/Penn State in the Fiesta??? Hey, I'm a Big Ten guy..and I think PSU would handle the Domers, but I don't want to see two northern teams in a bowl game. What fun is that?? Or tOSU and Virginia Tech... probably some good football, but does anyone really care? I want to see games between the Big Ten and the SEC... or the ACC... or the Pac-10... games that create bragging rights... hell, even games that inspire civil war stories. Actually, I'm quite upset Tennessee didn't find their way to 6 wins. This year I wanted the Vols and PhatPhil to play Michigan and Used Carr in the "We're Over-rated" Bowl.... with the losing coach getting fired. You know, a bowl that means something!! And how about Florida State and Nebraska in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando.... how low can you go... There, I'm done. Good Luck winning the SEC!!
