Granted, the last 2 weeks were against perennial bottom dwellers, but I thought the scheme, especially tonight, was well executed. I don't recall seeing too many blown coverages, DB's lining up 8-10 yards off the LOS, or wide open receivers and I think it's safe to say Cutler will be nursing alot of aches and pains in the training room. So, do you think the defense has turned the corner? I understand the REAL test is yet to come (Fla., Aub., Ala.), but if tonight is any indication of what our defense is going to be, then I publicly apologize to Pellini. Thoughts?

Doesn't matter who we played. I was just happy to see us in press coverage and not sitting back 10 yards off the ball.

Tepperlini is Tepperlini, the game was won on Tiger talent and severely inferior opposition period.

It's ok man...you CAN give someone credit for good things even though you don't particularly like them.

Sheesh..... Growing up, did you take your football and go home if the rest of the kids didn't agree with you on some of the rules?

I agree, but the question(s) remain. Do you think the defense has turned the corner or is it still to early to tell? Has your opinion of Pellini changed?

Very happy to see the prevent become a thing of the past, however i will reserve judgement until we see this kind of D occur against some stronger opponents without a wet paper bag offensive line.

I think its safe to say that many will forgive and forget Pelini's early season lapse of sense and reason if we continue to see a Saban-esque defense throughout the year.

Good job for the corners tonight as well.

Nope but no need to get overly excited till its done against a quality team.

I have been saying it. It was a new defensive scheme with new corners. It needed some time to become effective. Earlier, Pellini was calling soft coverages because the corners weren't yet able to handle his system IMO. It will only get better.

I think we're moving in the right direction! My opinion of him has changed for the better.... I'm still a little cautious, but I think we're going in the right direction and turning a corner.

We put forth the same defensive effort (obviously I'm expecting Florida to amass more than 140-something yards of total offense no matter how good the defense is), then I'll say we've definately turned the corner.
