June has a lot going on in his life outside of football. He may want to get that straight first. Best of luck to him

June was likely a few years to early with his run & gun, nowadays he would be a hot candidate IMO.

Gators AD To Evaluate Muschamp On Entire Season
Brett McMurphy discusses athletic director Jeremy Foley's decision to wait until the end of the season to evaluate head coach Will Muschamp.

Florida Gators coach Will Muschamp, coming off a record-setting loss to No. 3 Alabama, will be judged on his program's entire body of work this season, athletic director Jeremy Foley said.

The Florida defense has given up 1,095 yards in the past two games, including a school-record 645 yards in a 42-21 loss to the Crimson Tide last week.

Jeff Barlis/ESPN.comFourth-year coach Will Muschamp's team is 2-8 in its past 10 games, including 1-6 against SEC opponents.
Despite the struggles, however, Foley said he's sticking by his coach but will re-evaluate everything after the season.

"You never judge or evaluate a program based on one game or one season," Foley told "Open Mike" on 790 The Game in Orlando. "That's just not how we do things here. We're going to evaluate where we're headed -- where the players are, how is recruiting going, what type of staff we have, are we better?

"That's going to be plain for all of us to see, but it's also going to be played out over the course of 11 games, and we'll see where we are when we get to the end of the season."

Florida has won only two of its past 10 games dating to last season -- including a 1-6 mark against SEC teams. The Gators (2-1, 1-1 SEC) have a bye this week before visiting Tennessee on Oct. 4.

Asked about the team's performance, Muschamp was pretty blunt during Wednesday's SEC coaches teleconference.

"We stunk on defense," Muschamp said. "I'm extremely disappointed two games in a row of giving up the big plays we've given up defensively. We've got to get some things tied together better on the back end. That's the bottom line.

"The mistakes we've made in some situations back there are inexcusable."

I never thought firing a coach mid-season ever helps a team. It puts a interim coach into the situation, which is a no-win situation for him. A new coach will never be available before the end of the season. Even if they have already made a decision, best to wait until a new coach is ready to step in or it will just kill a year of recruiting.

And gator fans are MF'n Foley everywhere. Zook's still laughing his balls off, and Spurrier will laugh his balls off in about a month when he goes and burns down the family house again. Will"s asking Erbin what did the heart attacks feel like. Erbin said I'm getting the MF'ers again.
This makes UF football a must watch the rest of the season. Wanna see a coach whack out on the sidelines, stay tuned...should be a good one.

There is always Gene Chizak or Rick Nieuhaisel (sp?) too. Of course Houston Nutt and Tommy Tuberville had offenses you would love.

All of those guys with the exception of cheese dick at least had a clue. Funny that he is the one out of the bunch with a damn title. I guess the football gods reward the dumb now and again. Or on cheese dicks case he just paid for it.
