My thoughts exactly when I first saw the pic. Haven't heard his name mentioned in quite a while.

Do you think he got on the first ballot? :hihi:

I don't remember which tv game it was, but I can still see Dale Brown in the huddle during a time out telling Tito whatever you do, don't shoot it. I'm not sure, but I think Tito shot it anyway and missed and lost the game. :hihi:

Tito never actually played for LSU. He left before the 85-86 season started while his recruitment was under an NCAA cloud. The NCAA could never prove Dale did anything wrong, so they held a grudge until they got the goods on Lester Earl.

The game you are thinking about was a game at Georgetown in the 86-87 season. Dale told Jose Vargas not to shoot the last shot, but he did and missed.

Thanks for the Geert update! I'll always remember him as arguably the biggest guy to ever be the technical foul shooter on a college team.

Any idea where Roman Roubchenko (spelling?) is??

Geert used to hang out a lot at The Tiger when I was in college. One time, I was just standing around, and the guy I was with said, "You're standing under Geert." I looked up and, sure enough, I was standing right under his arm while he was drinking a beer.
